Putzmeister America Introduces MX TB Placing Conveyor
STURTEVANT, WI (February 14, 2011) – With the introduction of the first MX TB placing conveyor, Putzmeister America, Inc. continues in its tradition of creating technology that puts their customers first. This innovative placing conveyor was specially designed for large, civil projects and those projects that require the use of larger aggregate. There are two different models that make up the MX TB placing conveyor line, the MX TB 130 and the MX TB 600.
“Both conveyors can place the larger aggregate concrete and materials that concrete pumps simply cannot,” says Bob Weiglein, Putzmeister America’s Telebelt® division manager. “The MX TB 130 conveys up to four-inch (102mm) aggregate and the MX TB 600 conveys up to six-inch (152mm) aggregate. Both placing conveyors handle zero to 12-inch (305mm) concrete slump.”
In addition to concrete, both placing conveyors move the same countless materials as the rest of the Putzmeister Telebelt line including, pervious concrete, roller compacted concrete (RCC), gravel, sand, wood and even bark and bagged materials.
Via a specially-designed feeder belt and hopper, the placing conveyors can be fed material multiple ways including from a Maxon Portable Surge Hopper, front-end loader, skid-steer loader, dump truck or concrete mixer.
“They also feature the same smooth, surge-free conveying results our customers expect from our Telebelts,” notes Weiglein. “The MX TB 130’s five-section telescopic placing conveyor offers a 126-foot, six-inch (38.56m) horizontal reach and the MX TB 600’s four-section telescopic placing conveyor features a horizontal reach of up to 102 feet (31.08m). Both offer a 360-degree hydraulic rotation.”
Powered by an electrically-driven power pack, the MX TB 130 offers up to six cubic yards per minute (4.60m3/min) maximum outputs and the MX TB 600 offers up to 10 cubic yards per minute (7.65m3/min) maximum outputs.
Both placing conveyors attach to a four-foot, six-inch square pin tower that is available in 12-foot (3.7m) and 18-foot (5.5m) sections. The tower can be mounted using either the freestanding or ballasted base, also known as cross-frame, configurations similar to the placing booms.
The MX TB 130 will be debuted at ConExpo 2011, March 22 – 26, in Putzmeister’s booth (#899).
The MX TB 130 and 600 do not detach from an actual Telebelt unit and are ordered separately. To order, or for more information, call Bob Weiglein at: (262) 884-6223 or e-mail him at: weigleinb@putzam.com.
