Putzmeister Introduces a Modular Flatpack Design for Truck-Mounted Concrete Boom Pumps
Bolt-on design enhances flexibility and serviceabilitySTURTEVANT, Wis. (January 10, 2006) - Offering truck-mounted concrete pump owners added versatility and convenience, Putzmeister's new modular flatpack features a cost-effective way to replace a pump cell for upgrades, repair, or simply as a part of a scheduled maintenance program.
By removing just a few bolts, the whole pump cell assembly can be conveniently changed with minimal time, effort and expense. The simple yet effective “bolt on” design of the new flatpack eliminates the labor-intensive process of cutting steel and welding seams during a replacement.
The well-organized layout of components offers easier access to parts for service and repair making it easy for boom pump owners to capitalize on the convenience of the modular design in their maintenance program.
The pump cell can now be easily exchanged with a new or reconditioned pump cell by simply disconnecting hydraulic hoses, unbolting the entire flatpack and swapping out the pump cell. Enabling a boom pump to return more quickly to the field, owners can still generate income while the original flatpack undergoes service.
The modular flatpack design is presently integrated on all models within Putzmeister's 20- and 30-meter classes and on the 63Z-Meter, the world's largest Z-fold boom pump. The design will migrate to models in the 40- and 50-meter classes during 2006.
