Putzmeister Upgrades Truck Performance With More Power, More Traction
Engine Upgrade and Power Divider Lock-Out Incorporated as Standard on Mack Trucks Mounted with Putzmeister EquipmentSTURTEVANT, Wisconsin (October 10, 2005) - Maintaining its focus on performance and value, Putzmeister America announces the incorporation of a higher 400 hp engine and a power divider lock-out. Effective with the 2006 model year, all Mack three-axle trucks (model MR 688S) mounted with Putzmeister's concrete boom pumps or Telebelt® conveyors will receive these changes as standard features.
The revision increases power from the previous model's 350 hp engine and makes the power divider lock-out (PDLO) as a standard feature instead of an option on all Mack trucks mounted with Putzmeister equipment. PDLO offers added traction, which has become increasingly important for machine setup in less than ideal job site conditions. As with past models, the larger Telebelt TB 110 and TB 130 are still being provided with both a power divider and inter-wheel power divider lock-out feature as standard.
Putzmeister models with these upgrades began shipping in early October 2005. Due to an earlier Mack switchover schedule, the change to model year 2007 trucks will be implemented on Putzmeister equipment by the end of first quarter 2006. These new trucks will also feature the 400 hp engine and PDLO upgrades as standard.
