Putzmeister to Unveil the New Telebelt® TB 80 at WOC 2000
New truck-mounted conveyor delivers 360 yards of material per hourPutzmeister America will unveil a significant addition to its telescopic belt conveyor line – the Telebelt® TB 80 – at the World of Concrete (WOC) 2000 trade show in Orlando, Fla., Feb. 20-24.
The TB 80, with a three-section telescopic boom, offers a horizontal reach of 80 feet (24.4 m). It sits on a new Mack MR 688S truck chassis and is capable of conveying 360 cubic yards (275 cubic meters) of material an hour. It has a vertical reach of 46.5 feet (14.2 m) and can be set up and operated under heights as low as 14.9 feet (4.5 m). In addition, its compact outrigger design has a footprint of only 17 feet I inch (5.2 m).
Telebelt TB 80
"This latest Telebelt was customer driven," said Terry Smith, president and CEO of Putzmeister America. "Wall foundation contractors wanted a unit with enhanced operator efficiencies, such as an independent hydraulic feeder belt and hydraulic outriggers, so we delivered. The TB 80 is the perfect complement to our Telebelt TB 50 and TB 105 product range."
In addition to concrete contractors, contractors involved with landscaping, roadwork, backfilling and any high-volume aggregate-placing work can use the Telebelt. Adding to its versatility, the unit can alternate between placing various materials, such as concrete and stone, on the same jobsite throughout the day. Putzmeister also offers oversized rock hoppers for the unit that can be fed by excavators, wheel loaders or skid steers for large-volume material placing jobs.
While the specifications for the Telebelt line indicate that the conveyors can place materials ranging in size from sand to 4-inch (100 mm) rock, recent tests confirmed that the belt can place up to 6-inch (152 mm) rock in 0-inch slump concrete.
Contractors attending WOC 2000 will be able to view the new Telebelt at the Putzmeister exhibit, #1901. On the second day of the show, Feb. 21 at 2 p.m., they can see the unit in operation at a simulated jobsite at the Mega Demo area.
