Putzmeister America, Inc. Celebrates 15th Anniversary
STURTEVANT, WI (March 27, 2009) – Putzmeister America, Inc., located in Sturtevant, Wisconsin, is celebrating 15 years in its North American headquarters. Throughout those 15 years, the company has introduced numerous product and technology innovations into the North American concrete and material placing market.Since moving to its current campus in 1994, the company has expanded its facilities seven times and acquired 10 acres to accommodate its significant growth. The last expansion was completed in 2006, bringing the total square footage to 200,000 square feet, and acreage to 37.
Significant accomplishments during the past 15 years include:
•Achievement of ISO 9001:2000 status for Putzmeister America in 2003.
•Introduction of the Putzmeister 63Z-Meter truck-mounted concrete boom pump at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2005, the world’s largest truck-mounted boom pump at the time.
•Achievement of CPMA certification on all boom pumps in 2006.
•The Putzmeister Steady End Hose debuted in 2007.
•Acquiring Allentown Equipment in 2007, which was renamed Allentown Shotcrete Technology, Inc.
•Debut of the world’s largest truck-mounted concrete boom pump, the 70Z-Meter, in 2008.
•Unveiling of the TB 600 at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008.
•Expanding Putzmeister’s Ergonic® technology to 31Z-Meter concrete truck-mounted boom pumps and larger while also adding to the features offered during 2009.

Based in Aichtal, Germany, Putzmeister Concrete Pumps GmbH, Putzmeister America’s parent company, reached $1.1 billion in global sales in 2007. This global organization comprises 16 manufacturing and sales operations and entered the North American market in 1982 when the company acquired Thomsen Inc. and began marketing concrete placing equipment from Gardena, California.
Putzmeister America’s extensive concrete and material placing equipment lineup includes truck-mounted concrete boom pumps, concrete placing systems, truck-mounted Telebelt® telescopic belt conveyors and trailer-mounted concrete pumps. In addition, the company provides a wide range of mortar, grout, shotcrete, plaster and fireproofing pumps and mixers, industrial pumps, as well as tunneling and mining equipment.
